The IPO is located within the NICT headquarters in the western suburbs of Tokyo. It is on the 4 floor of building number 1.

From Narita Airport to Musashi-Koganei or Kokubunji stations:

  1. Use the Narita Express train (Japan railway JR) or airport limousine bus from NARITA Airport to JR Shinjuku Station
  2. From JR Shinjuku Station, please take JR Chuo Line (Rapid train) and get off at JR Musashi-Koganei Station or Kokubunji Station.

From Musashi-Koganei or Kokubunji stations to NICT by bus:

  1. From North-Exit of the Musashi-Koganei station take KEIO-Bus from Stand No.5 bound for "Kodaira-Danchi". From North-Exit of the Kokubunji station, turn left after exiting the ticket gate, and go down the steps. You can find out the bus stop on your right. Please take TACHIKAWA-Bus bound for "Syowa-Byouin". Both bus routes cost 170-Yen (You will pay the bus fare when you get off.). Please get off at "Jouhou-Tsuushin-Kenkyuu-Kikou" (It takes 10-15min.)

From Musashi-Koganei or Kokubunji stations to NICT by taxi: 

  • Please go out from North-Exit of either stations, you can find the taxi stands easily. Please show this page to the taxi driver to indicate your destination. It costs about 1,000 Yen.
