Applications for WDS Membership

The WDS Scientific committee is now ready to take applications for WDS membership

If your organization is interested in joining the ICSU World Data System, please read carefully the Criteria for Membership and Certification document and then fill-in the form^# below.

Different membership types are available within the WDS:

• Regular members^*: Nodes that deal directly with data curation and data analysis services (e.g. former WDC, FAGS, National data centers, University data centers, etc.).
• Network members^*: They represent groups of regular members and serve as coordinating agents across regular nodes that have common characteristics and mostly common disciplines (e.g. IODE)
• Partner members:  members which do not deal directly with the nuts-and-bolts of data collection, curation, and distribution, but which contribute funding or other support to regular nodes (e.g. IUGG who supports services - former FAGS, agencies or commercial members if they provide financial support).
• Associate members:  members who are interested in the endeavor, and participate in the discussion, but do not contribute direct funding or other material support (ICSU national members, Academies, and some commercial entities, could be in that category)

After review by the WDS Scientific Committee, you will receive under separate mailing a personalized URL link for your formal membership application.
